About Me

Michael Rudolph
I am a scientist who investigates how the three-dimensional shape of a protein molecule influences the protein's function. In this blog, I will take a structural biologist’s perspective on many different biological phenomena particularly the molecular effects of diet and exercise on humans. I will demonstrate how this viewpoint significantly enhances our understanding of human disease and inspires a novel approach to drug discovery. I am doing this because of my research interests in structural biology and exercise physiology, my tremendous enthusiasm for drug discovery and design, and my background in collegiate athletics (I played college football at Hofstra University).
